Mobile device isn't on the same Wi-Fi network. Make sure that the smoker and your mobile device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
The app isn't communicating properly with the cloud and/or smoker. Power cycle the smoker and wait for it to reboot and connect, or close the app and restart it.
The smoker is still connecting to the Wi-Fi router. Wait for appliance to complete connecting with the Wi-Fi router. Once user receives a push notification that appliance ready, open the app and start using.
